School Community Facilitator

The School Community Facilitator encourages and coordinates parent involvement in various school programs and activities.  Plans, organizes and presents a range of parenting classes through our English Learner Advisory Committee.  Serve as a liaison between the community, school and families. Refer families to agencies or school services as appropriate to their needs.  Assist teachers and administration in scheduling parent teacher conferences whenever there is a student concern related to academics, safety or mental health. Work in collaboration with school staff, community agencies, parents and students to promote a healthy home environment and a safer school environment. Translate all written materials sent to parents and translate in parent meetings to help the families that our school serves.
