AVID
What is AVID?
The AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program is designed to help students succeed in school and develop the necessary skills that will prepare them for high school and entry into a four-year university. It has a proven track record of bringing out the best in students and closing the achievement gap. AVID builds college preparedness and career knowledge through writing, inquiry, and collaboration, as well as campus tours at various universities. College tutors support AVID students in tutorials twice a week.
