Community celebrates the joy of reading
The love of reading was in the air Monday as schools around the country celebrated Read Across America Day, a national reading holiday coinciding with the birth week of beloved author and illustrator Dr. Seuss.

Outstanding Contributions to Education
We are so proud to announce Janine Frendo’s award as an “Outstanding Contributions to Education” recipient this Wednesday January 15, 2014 at the Orange County Department of Education. Janine was among only four honorees to be presented to the board. Janine was nominated by Brian Ristow.

Mrs. Wood's students learn at home and do at school
You won’t get in trouble in Mrs. Woods’ class for using your smartphone or tablet – as long as you’re using it to get caught up on the latest math lesson. Mrs. Wood's class is using the Flipped Learning method (Flipped learning is when direct instruction happens outside of the classroom, so that class time can be used for more hands-on interactive group work.) for her math classes.
