Reading brings rewards in our Teen Summer Reading Program. Get a goody bag just for signing up!

For every book read, participants have the opportunity to write a review and enter the weekly prize drawing. Participants can read print books, ebooks and audiobooks. The more books read and reviewed the more chances teens have to win great prizes like gift cards to local shops, restaurants, movie theaters, and book stores. After submission of three (3) reviews, participants will be awarded a paperback book. All entries in the weekly prize drawing also go into the Grand Prize Drawing at the end of the Program.

Accelerated Reader Program

What is Accelerated Reader?

AR is a computer program that helps teachers manage and monitor students’ independent reading practice. Your student picks a book at his/her own level and reads it at his/her own pace. When finished, your student takes a short quiz on the computer. Passing the quiz is an indication that your student understood what was read. AR gives both students and teachers feedback based on the quiz results, which the teacher then uses to help support your student’s reading practice.
